Exercises to get that perfect thigh gap

The perfect thigh gap, is not longer just for the models on the catwalk, this trend is now catching on off the runway.  So here are some of our favourite thigh toning exercises, which will not only give you sexy, strong thighs and legs, but will give you that perfect thigh gap.

Deep squat: Squats are not only perfect exercises to tone your thighs, but they are great for a thigh gap. Stand with your legs shoulder-width apart, making sure that your feet are flat on the ground and that your toes are pointed slightly outward. Go down slowly, while keeping your back straight. Hold this position for a few seconds and then return to the starting position. Begin by doing two sets, about 20 reps, and as you build more stamina, increase the sets and counts.

Slide side lunges: Side lunges work both the legs and the glutes, but slide side lunges target the inner thighs. Begin by standing with your feet slightly apart and keep you hands in front of you at chest level. Place your weight on your right leg and gently slide to your left side and squat down, then slowly return to the starting position and repeat the process with the left leg. Try to do at least 15 reps of on each leg, as many counts as you can do.

Wide stance squats: Stand with your feet wide apart and your toes out. Place your hands behind your head and slowly squat down, while making sure that you knees don’t go over your toes. Try and do at least 20 reps, of 15 counts each.

Cross-stepping: Begin by facing the railing of a staircase and cross one leg over the other and then cross the opposite leg onto the next step, begin at the bottom of the staircase. Continue until you reach the top of the staircase.

REVOFIT TAKE: While having a thigh gap, may seem trendy and cool,  it is important to remember that a thigh gap has a lot to do with your bone structure and this is something you cannot change. All you can do it try and diet and exercise your way to toned thighs. But, the best thing to do it simply try and achieve your fitness goals and you will end up feeling strong, vibrant and healthy and you will get toned thighs that suit your body type.
